The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) at Princeton University invites applications for a faculty position with a preferred start date of September 1, 2023. The search is open for Assistant, Associate and Full Professor appointments. A Ph.D. degree in an appropriate field is required. The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Princeton University has a long history of scholarly research related to water. The current search is for faculty working at the forefront of research in water and climate who will add strength in emerging topics and challenges in hydrologic sciences and water engineering. The department has strong undergraduate and graduate programs in both environmental engineering and civil engineering.

Applicants should have interest in, and competence for, teaching foundational undergraduate and advanced graduate courses in CEE. Candidates must have the ability and motivation to develop a vigorous independent research program and to participate in collaborative efforts of the faculty. The CEE department has strong ties with other departments, centers, and institutes at Princeton that focus on energy and environmental research, climate modeling, urban science, architecture, and policy; the successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop initiatives that establish and strengthen such connections.

POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCH POSITION AT PRINCETON UNIVERSITY

Associate Professional Specialist

The Urban Nexus Lab in the Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering at Princeton University seeks an Associate Professional Specialist to pursue inter-disciplinary research in urban air pollution, energy systems analysis, and health risks, towards developing a national urban emissions inventory for India. This position will be advised by Prof. Anu Ramaswami. We are seeking a Ph.D. holder in Environmental Science, Public Policy, Engineering, Industrial Ecology or other related fields with >5 years of relevant experience post-Ph.D., demonstrated publications, and showing expertise in urban air emissions measurement and management in India including emissions inventory development, and integrated health-risk modeling. This position will be responsible for managing research teams based in India and engaging with stakeholders (for knowledge co-production and research dissemination). This is an initial one-year position with a possible extension contingent on performance and funding.
