Required Qualifications: i) PhD in hydrology, environmental engineering, geosciences, applied math, computer science or other related fields, ii) Demonstrated record of strong written and verbal English communication, ii) Demonstrated ability to work effectively in an interdisciplinary team
Preferred Qualifications: i) Experience analyzing large datasets, ii) proficient in Python and GitHub (Matlab and R are also helpful but Python is preferred), iii) experience with hydrologic modeling (preference for applicants with any physically based PDE modeling experience),  iv) any experience with remote sensing, machine learning, geospatial data or high-performance computing will be beneficial but is not required.

Project Responsibilities:  Our team is looking for a motivated postdoctoral scholar who is interested in studying human impact on the hydrologic cycle across the US.  This position will be working closely with hydrologic modelers to develop tools and approaches for quantifying and simulating human interactions with watershed systems at a large scale. Successful applicants will have experience working with large datasets and completing quantitative analyses.  This postdoc will be joining a diverse interdisciplinary team with close collaborations between hydrologists, data scientists and software engineers working across multiple public and private institutions. They will have many opportunities for professional development working with experts in multiple fields.  Support will be provided for travel to present work at conferences and to work with our collaborators.   Interested applicants will also have opportunities to help mentor graduate and undergraduate students on our research team.
